winter essentials.
Finally, a proper heater in the room that provides Proper heating. I had to go down to Argos to buy an additional heater because the one I have, a mounted oil-filled radiator isn't too efficient and doesn't do much to alleviate episodes of unremitting shivering. The only thing it does do is to melt any chocolates situated nearby, and as brilliant as that is, I'd rather have an appliance that keeps me warm for now. Outside temperature is unforgiving.
Shopping for that was quick and simple, what was surprisingly difficult was looking for a pair of gloves. I had assumed these sort of things were easy to find and I could go into any shop and get one within minutes. I wasn't being picky but I had decided there be no glitter, diamonds or anything too fancy or too loud. I figured I'd settle with 'boring and straightforward' this time. But I guess I was unlucky and the only ones I did end up coming across, after going inside some 5 shops, were fancy and colourful gloves studded with diamonds/glitter/sequins. Nowhere could I find the normal old lady gloves, this is apparently the age for strap leather and glittery suede. The theme seemed to be fancy material vs fancy colours, take your pick.
Anywho, what I was really hoping to find was this;
but they all seemed 3 sizes too big. The ones they had in kids' section were perfect fit. They just had flowery/fairy motifs suitable for, well, kids.
p/s: I don't know how I get away with putting up posts about heaters and gloves.
