last days.

I hate packing. Gives me anxiety attacks. I get paranoid over the baggage limit. As if the worst thing that could happen is paying for excess weight. This time I looked for the lightest bag I could find, a small hard shell Samsonite as opposed to the ginormous soft bag I usually take which I now insist weighs 5kg when empty. I think it started as an assumption on my part but has now turned into actual fact due to repetition. "DO YOU KNOW THAT BAG WEIGHS 5KG WHEN EMPTY? ITS TRUE."

I'm trying to limit the things that I have to bring. So far its gone okay but my hands are itching to take out more clothes to make the bag lighter. If it was up to me I'd bring an empty bag. Then swing the bag casually when at airport and say things like 'This feels like air!". Someday.

Most of the things are in, I'm left with last-minute items like contact lenses and perfume. Small items, but I keep worrying that collectively they'll weigh 2kg and be the culprit that renders the bag overweight. And these things like Ipod and handphone chargers? How is that affecting the weight of the bag? I need to know.

Paranoia. The limit bugs me like crazy.

Its me subconsciously not wanting to leave. Or consciously wanting to be smug abt not exceeding airline baggage limit.

The best thing so far is being able to have a few days of Ramadhan here. Its well worth it, everything from buying too much food at pasar ramadhan and terawih. I've missed it.

I don't know if I'm particularly excited or sad at the prospect of going back. I'm ambivalent, that's the word. Ambivalent and terrified, abt what I'm not sure.

have a good journey back, hope you've had a nice break back home.sounds like lines off a hallmark card, but i do mean it:)

perfume & contact lenses-the last time it was listerine bottles & fiction novels for me,and while my dad grumbled "what do you need THIS for?" (picking up what appears to be an unopened bag of shavers),I quietly hoard all these tiny items into my hand carried, which now looks conspicuously oversized-what with a camera tripod sticking out by the side.

and then pass by the gates with a face that says "ha,what tripod?",buat tak tau.you can do it syaza,be cool-a life without perfume/contacts is worth a couple cents less.

haha thanks :) 5 minutes here and I want to take the next plane back already. I can't get enough of those in-flight entertainments is why! ..nah not really.

yea I did that, stuffed everything in handcarry til it looked almost the same as my check-in bag. think the trick is to insist on carrying the bag instead of using the wheels, to make it look light. Don't walk at the pace of a turtle, you'll give it away. Jog with it every once in a while. Agonize over it only after ypu've boarded. Didn't attempt it, but you can tell me how it goes. :p
