I Was Born (A Unicorn)-The Unicorns, Just Drums-Tapes 'n Tapes.
sha and bux went back on saturday night. :( the 2 weeks went by in a flash.
went out today to get some shopping done. necessary items like...this....and that. but me and my sister (sorry, my sister and I) ended up splurging in the city. Although really it was mostly me. We (I) couldn't help it, everytime we (I) walked in there was always something to buy. stayed til around 5 30 and went back to rest for a bit.
speaking of rest, the other day, in pbs lecture, rosh asked suwen, in all seriousness, if she had a piercing on her ear. and su wen replied, in all seriousness, that she did have them but she wasn't wearing any earrings because at the moment, the holes were taking a rest.
I thought that was the funniest thing I've heard all week. It wasn't said as a joke or anything, she really meant it. She didn't mind that me and rosh (sorry, rosh and I) were laughing like mad afterwards at that statement. Hilarious.
back to the sunday-outing, came back and watched TV for a bit.
and kept on watching til 8.
8 30-walked down to Nova and watched The Italian. The movie was really good but what annoyed me was that my contacts were giving me irritations and I had to blink every half a second to see what was happening on screen. That part was a bit sucky. Abt the movie, its not fast-paced, it doesn't have memorable climactic events or anything, it just flows freely as if everything was happening in real time and you were just watching it from a distance. And that's not to say that's a bad thing. The thing I'm most surprised by the movie is how realistic it all is. I know I tend overuse that word-realistic but this one really is just that. Everything seemed so real, the script, the acting (especially the small boy's) that its hard to imagine it was all carefully conceptualized in thought, written on pages, planned on storyboards...
